Ivan Hughes is the director of the award-winning documentary In the Shadow of the Chief that marked his directorial debut. He studied cinematography at George Brown College (Toronto) and photographic techniques at Toronto Image Works. Ivan lives and works in Squamish, BC, where he is an event organizer, filmmaker and father who enjoys working and playing in the great outdoors. Ivan also directed and edited Back to the Wall, the story about quadriplegic climber Brad Zdanivsky and his 14-year journey back to climbing. His latest project, University Wall was selected as finalist for best short film at the 2007 Banff Mountain Film Festival. It is part of a feature documentary, History of the Human Flies, that is currently in production. When not making films, he is primarily known as a writer, photographer, adventurer, and storyteller.
Ivan is the producer of the Squamish Mountain Festival, the local coordinator of the REEL ROCK film tour and has organized and promoted numerous screenings in Squamish and Vancouver. He has promoted the outdoors as an on-camera host with CBC's Living Vancouver and currently with Tourism British Columbia.

Angela has gained more than 15 years experience as a producer, special event coordinator, publicist, and writer by working for CTV and the A-Channel in Manitoba, and at events such as the 1999 Pan Am Games; 1998 Grey Cup; 1997 Canada Games; and the 1994 Commonwealth Games Arts Festival. She was the producer and artistic director of the Victoria Folkfest and continues to write for a variety of publications such as the Guardian, and SwissAir Gazette. Her first film was the short documentary, Farmworkers Speak Out, about working conditions for labouers in British Columbia’s lower mainland. She also produced the award-winning documentary In the Shadow of the Chief in 2003.
Angela started working in film as an actor with Canadian directors Guy Maddin (Tales from the Gimli Hospital) and John Paizs (The Big Crime Wave) and in theatre with director and producer Greg Klymkiw.
She is currently working with the Whistler Film Festival as Filmmaker Forum Manager and is also a member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, Doc BC and Women in Film and Television Vancouver.
